THE BIBLE

September 1st, 2011

We Christians all have or read the BIBLE, and there are many different denominations. Which I believe is a good thing. We all worship God. The only difference is that some leaders do not teach the whole bible anymore. Only parts that are acceptable to their own vision and never discus subjects such as:

  • The wrath of God
  • Punishment
  • Hell
  • Abomination

Some leaders who have selected to teach only parts of the bible, adopted and created a believe system that has made the bible more like a selective guidebook, and that it is not to be viewed as the complete truth and the Word of God.

Leaders love to preach about peace, joy, hope and God’s everlasting Love and Forgiveness. In my observation, they created a religion that compares with, “smoking a religious joint that makes everyone feel happy. We are cool Christians”. We do not like to ruffle any feathers, and we must understand and accept today’s popular views. Forget about biblical truth. Truth, what is the truth? My truth is not your truth, and your truth does not have to be my truth. I can find my own truth and you cannot take all things in the bible as the truth. You recognized the words “My and I “, in the above sentence instead of God.

If that is what you firmly believe, I have nothing more to say to you, only keep smoking your feel happy Christian joint. For all others I ask you, “Start reading the bible every day, and you will find The Biblical Truth”.

If you do this with an open and non-judgmental mind, God will reveal His Truth to you in and through His word. It will bless you.

The bible teaches us in Matthew 7:13 (NIV)

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.

You can take the popular (wide) road of the world, or accept the whole bible as truth (narrow road). You make the choice. The day will come that we meet the Creator of all things.

God Loves You, read the bible (Gods Word), examine and compare these words with the words your leader speaks. Your relationship with God is a one on one personal relationship, and you have direct line with God called “Prayer”. He loves you, and He wants you to know Him. The only way to do this is through the word of God.  So pick up a bible and start reading.

Message to Pastors

August 6th, 2011

One morning, I was helping in the religious store, placing new items on the shelf, when a woman walked in, her face covered with a veil and you could see she cried. We all could see that she was in great distress. She visited us before, and that she likes to browse around by herself and left alone. Recently she gave her life to Christ and became a Christian, no matter what the consequences for her would be. This time her behavior was different. She walked right-up to the counter were we were standing, and said,” I need help”. She did not want to explain to all of us what the problem was, but agreed to talk with a female store employee. After 5 minutes, the store employee came back, and told us, “This is real important and urgent”, and she likes to talk to an ordained pastor only. She needs help NOW.

Immediately I started to make some phone calls, in the hope to find a pastor who could help her.

The First Pastor: On vacation and told me to look for someone else.

The Second Pastor: Just having a late breakfast at McDonald, and would let me know tomorrow when his schedule was open to receive her.

The Third Pastor: Was just running out to go to a meeting, but would consider a phone consultation.

The Fourth Pastor: Was at his second job, and could not leave.

I was not able to find a pastor who was available to help this young woman, and so she left.

The next day her friend walked in the store with eyes full of tears, and told us that last night her friend died by hanging. The police called it suicide. Her friend told us, that she explicitly related to her two day’s before, that she would never commit suicide because she is now a Christian, no matter how difficult the circumstances would become.

What happened here is a great tragedy, but an additional tragedy is;

“Not one pastor asked me what the young woman’s problem was, or how severe”. Instead, they all placed more importance on their own circumstance and/or agenda.

It reminds me about a parable that Jesus told an expert in the Law of Moses:

 Luke: 10:25. (The Good Samaritan).

My confession:

1)  That this woman is indeed in need of “extreme intervention” is true.

2)  We are blessed that she did not die, and is alive because of intervention.

3)   I found one pastor who was on vacation. This pastor was the only one who asked me first what the urgent situation for this young woman was, instead of mentioning her busy vacation schedule. After I told her, she took immediate action, made phone calls, and assisted in an urgent protection plan from her vacation destination.

That this urgent situation got resolved does not excuse the responds from the other pastors, who did not even inquire about the severity of this young woman’s situation. I hope that we take this event to heart, and next time place more importance on a child of God needs, than our personal agenda. That would be walking in the footsteps of Jesus. That is what you teach every sermon. I hope this half-true half parable is a wake-up call for all of us.

Tripple sex marriage feelings

August 2nd, 2011

For years, a friend of mine struggled with his feelings. For him, the most beautiful design in creation is the woman. As a young man of 5 year old, he was already attracted to the opposite sex. He told me that he remember his first girlfriend when he was six. He walked hand in hand to school, and it made him feel so good. He missed her deeply when she was away, even for a little while. At eight years old she moved. He was heart broken. He could and did not want to be alone; it just did not feel right. He had his guy friends to play with, but he needed more physical affection from girls. Luckily, he was able to find girls in school, in the playground and several camps or vacations to hangout with. He was sixteen and had two girlfriends. He noticed that having one girlfriend is great and feels good, but he was not satisfied completely. He needed more. He felt empty. He looked at the Arabian nations in which it is legal to have a harem. He felt he needed that. “I am sorry to be different,” he told me, but I feel that I am born this way, and that one woman is not enough for me”. He went to counseling, and psychiatrists did an in-depth study on his case. Based on his early signs, of being so attracted to multiple women, they agreed that this was a normal behavior for him.  He explained his feelings to his girlfriend, and showed her the report from the psychiatrist, which explained that he could not live with only one woman. He was so happy that his girlfriend understood, and accepted his feelings, which he had since childhood. Therefore, he has now three wives. He is the happiest man in the world. This is what he needed all the time, and now he has it. This satisfied him.  A female friend lives now with two men together. She had the same feelings like him. Today, “together” they fight for the right to get legally married to their husbands and wives.

Of cause, I cannot support the above. It is in direct violation with the bible ”Gods word”. In the bible, we read about nations that walked away from God and His laws. These nations were destroyed, and some only saved because they repented.

What will happen to us, when we ignore Gods laws, when we live by our own feelings, instead of the word of God! America is on the brink of great destruction and the wrath of God. If you leave God, you are on your own.

God Protects You

August 1st, 2011

God teaches us to love our enemies, turn the other cheek, humble ourselves and forgive. But what happens if attacks from evil people or spirits threatens our life, family or business while we live in the will of God? When we are devoted to help others, give, tithe, be a voice and light in this dark world full of sin? As children of the living God, we are consistently under attack, and we can ask God to protect us. It is wise to pray for someone who unknowingly hurts you, but it is unwise to pray for people who are servers of darkness with the determination to destroy you and therefore your ministry, work or life. Read Psalm 35 repeatedly. It teaches us to defend ourselves. After your prayers are answered, praise God for the whole day as you promise in verse 28     Psalm 35

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

(A psalm by David.)

A Prayer for Protection from Enemies

1 Fight my enemies, LORD! Attack my attackers!

2 Shield me and help me.

3Aim your spear at everyone who hunts me down,

      but promise to save me.

4 Let all who want to kill me be disappointed and disgraced.

Chase away and confuse all who plan to harm me.

5 Send your angel after them and let them be like straw

      in the wind.

6 Make them run in the dark on a slippery road,

      as your angel chases them.

7 I did them no harm, but they hid a net to trap me,

and they dug a deep pit to catch and kill me.

    8 Surprise them with disaster!

Trap them in their own nets and let them fall and rot

in the pits they have dug.

9 I will celebrate and be joyful  because you, LORD,

       have saved me.

10 Every bone in my body will shout:

“No one is like the LORD!”

      You protect the helpless from those in power;

you save the poor and needy from those who hurt them.

11 Liars accuse me of crimes I know nothing about.

12 They repay evil for good, and I feel all alone.

13 When they were sick, I wore sackcloth and went without food.

       I truly prayed for them,

14 as I would for a friend or a relative.

I was in sorrow and mourned, as I would for my mother.

15 I have stumbled, and worthless liars I do not even know

       surround me and sneer.

16 Worthless people make fun and never stop laughing.

17 But all you do is watch! When will you do something?

Save me from the attack of those vicious lions.

18 And when your people meet, I will praise you and thank you

Lord in front of them all.

19 Don’t let my brutal enemies be glad because of me.

They hate me for no reason. Don’t let them wink behind my back.

20They say hurtful things, and they lie to people who want to live in peace.

21They are quick to accuse me. They say, “You did it! We saw you ourselves.”

22You see everything, LORD! Please don’t keep silent or stay so far away.

23Fight to defend me, Lord God,

24 and prove that I am right by your standards.

Don’t let them laugh at me

25or say to each other, “Now we’ve got what we want!

       We’ll gobble him down!”

26Disappoint and confuse all who are glad to see me in trouble,

but disgrace and embarrass my proud enemies who say to me,

       ”You are nothing!”

27Let all who want me to win be happy and joyful.

From now on let them say, “The LORD is wonderful!

God is glad when all goes well for his servant.”

28Then I will shout all day, “Praise the LORD God!

       He did what was right.”

God’s Love & Grace

July 13th, 2011
GLY Angel

GLY Angel

This week was a week of blessings and sorrow. A blessing because my family is healthy and work is steady. Sorrow because a close friend of ours lost a loved one.

He was a young father of 37. He died of a heart attack. How can this be? This should not be, he is too young to die! The family cries.

One of the family friends asked me: “He was not a believer and he did not know God or Jesus. Do you think he is in heaven”?

I had to think for one moment. I turned around towards the casket and looked at this young man. His face was so peaceful, gentle and a smile was clearly visible. I turned around and knew the answer.

The bible teaches us in Romans 10 verse 20

20 And later Isaiah (Prophet) spoke boldly for God, saying,

“I was found by people who were not looking for me.
I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.”

This scripture describes the jealousy of God towards the Israelites who did not listen to Him. Therefore, God gave the gentiles (non-believers), people who were not looking for Him a chance to see, and an opportunity to know Him. I saw the smile and peace on the face of this young deceased man, and I like to believe that Jesus showed himself to this young man, and was his guide into the light of heaven. This is what I call Gods unbelievable Love and Grace for His Children.

Bigger is not always Better

June 3rd, 2011

In this world, we are brainwashed to think that bigger is better. The more money, status, power or influence we have, the better we are. And yes, this seems to be true in this world, but in Gods world it is so different. If you read the bible, the most important commandment given by God is to Love. Love Him first and then love all other people. The bible even teaches to love your enemy and the people who have hurt you. Turn the other cheek. This request seems so unnatural, and goes against our human nature. If your whole focus is to live as comfortable as possible in this world, and believe that this is all there is, then yes, this is impossible for you to understand or even to attempt. However, if you are willing to accept there is a God, learn about Him, and believe He has a purpose for your life, you are able to think differently. You will learn that it is not so much about you anymore. In addition, you see that it is more about the simple things of life and simple faith. I quote, “If you have faith as a mustard seed you can move mountains or let the children come to me, they will inherit the kingdom of heaven, etc”.  In Gods word we learn not how much or big, but how pure. Purity is a delight to God. Love Him with all your heart and do the best you can loving and forgiving others. Loving others does not mean respect. Respect is earned by pure actions. I will talk about this later. If your focus is on the now with all its material things and instant gratification, you lose the real meaning of life. Start reading the bible and re-direct your focus on God and His word, and that His purpose for your life will open a new and loving future.

Question:

If you love to read and study about all things, but something is blocking you from reading the bible, why is this? Is it not true that you only can have true knowledge about things you personally have seen or experienced? So why do you hesitate to read the bible?

Harold Camping

May 22nd, 2011

I walked in my Christian store, and there was this old 85 year man(we call him Mr. R for now), talking to my customers about the end of the world. I know him for many years. He is a single old man, loves God and follows Harold Camping for 30 years. This time, he told me, it is for real, guaranteed, with a bright smile on his face. Mr. R has only three years of elementary school, simple minded, sometimes a little strange, slightly mentally ill. But if he takes his medication he is fine. He lives in a government funded apartment, which are difficult get. For many years he was on a waiting list, and finally qualified for an apartment. He was happy, so happy when he got the key. He started hoarding, collecting stuff from the street, and within a few months his apartment was filled with trash. We went there and cleaned his whole apartment. He struggled, but from that day on he kept it reasonably clean. He was happy, listening to the radio. But then, Mr. Camping told him that May 21, 2011 is the end, and all who believed will be raptured on that day. Mr. R a true believer knew he was saved. He will be one of the selected, as long as he speaks about it with all people, give out brochures and specially not doubt. I do not doubt, Mr. R told me, and you can not make me. I invited him to be in my store on Saturday May 21, 2011, so I could see him disappear. He agreed. We all know what happened, Sitting at the table in GLYcafe, he waited and waited, his head bowed down and with the same cup of coffee still in front of him which I gave him at 6pm. That evening he left late. He had told some one in the cafe that evening he gave up his apartment and had no place to go. Now he is homeless, somewhere on the street. He believed Mr. Camping. I hope he is not cold tonight. I hope I find him soon.

Verses About Christ’s Return

May 19th, 2011

The Bible is the word of God. We need to read the words for what they say, not for what we want them to say. If you look long enough in the clouds, you can see sheep, crosses, faces or anything you set your mind to. It is the same with the Bible. Some study so hard, they forget the real meaning of each sentence. Yes the clouds look like sheep, but they are still clouds. That is exactly what happened to the Pharisees. They thought they knew the scriptures (Law), but Jesus called them hypocrites.

Do not fall for falls teachings, just read scripture as it is. It is not how much you know, it is more important to have love for God our creator. Simple faith like a child is more important than knowledge. Simple pure love and worship for God. Like a child. We are all saved by the grace through Jesus. Let the children come to me, because they will inherit the kingdom of God. If you have faith like a mustard seed you can move mountains, and so on and on…….

Here are some scriptures about Jesus return.

Revelation 22:17

17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. 18 And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.

Matthew 24:23-31

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matthew 24:36-44

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Matthew 25:1-13

25:1 “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

Matthew 25:31-46

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Mark 13:32-37

“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”

Acts 1:10-11

And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-8

2:1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.

1 John 3:2

Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

Last Day Mark 13:32

May 17th, 2011

The Day and Hour Unknown

32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on guard! Be alert[e]! You do not know when that time will come. 34 It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
35 “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36 If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”
